Ravagnano is a local pear variety preserved in the form of individual centennial trees in the province of Modena. The variety is characterized by high rusticity and longevity, with individual specimens reaching significant sizes with a trunk diameter of about 1.8 meters.

The fruits ripen at the end of August, have yellow-pink skin and juicy, aromatic flesh with a muscat taste. Due to the short shelf life after ripening, the fruits are not suitable for long-distance transport or fresh storage and were historically used more frequently for making jams.
