Summer ripening variety; harvest takes place during the first ten days of July. The tree has medium vigor, a spreading crown, and mid-early flowering, demonstrating high productivity.
Fruits are small, weighing 60–80 g, and have a short-turbinate, sometimes asymmetric shape. The skin is thin and smooth, colored yellow-green with a partial bright red blush. The fruit flesh is juicy and sweet to the taste.
The variety is adapted to local conditions of plains and hills and is an important subject for the conservation of biodiversity. It has many synonyms, such as Giammaria, Vefrido, Vetriolo, Zammarrino, and Scaloti.
