The variety is a natural mutation of the classic Bonkreta Williamsa pear, from which it differs by the intense dark red color of the skin. The tree forms an ovoid-conical crown, and over time the branches become prone to drooping. The variety enters fruiting in the 2–3rd year after planting and produces an annual abundant yield.
The fruits are large, weighing up to 200 g, have thin skin and tender, juicy flesh with a wine-sweet taste. Harvest maturity occurs in the first half of September. The variety is susceptible to fire blight and moderately resistant to scab, exhibits sensitivity to low winter temperatures.
