CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is low to medium-vigorous, 2.5–4 m in height with a compact rounded-pyramidal crown. The fruits have a pear-shaped or oblong-pear-shaped form with a bumpy surface and a mass of 150–180 g, sometimes up to 250 g. A bright red-maroon skin color covers the entire fruit, and small subcutaneous dots are visible on the surface.
The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with a pronounced muscat flavor. The variety is relatively resistant to scab but is not winter-hardy. The purpose of the fruits is universal; provided storage conditions are met, they can be kept until November. In orchards, a tendency for the fruits to lose color intensity over time is noted.
The variety may exhibit poor compatibility with some quince rootstocks, which requires the use of an interstock. Although the variety is partially self-fertile, the presence of pollinator varieties is recommended for stable yields.
