Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety originates from the Saalfeld region in Thuringia and has been mentioned in agronomic sources since 1861. Later, it became widespread in the Bergisches Land area. The name of the variety is linked to its ability to produce very abundant yields.

The fruits ripen in September, and it is recommended to harvest them in a semi-mature state. This variety is considered a table variety and is currently classified as a rare historical type, the preservation of which is handled by biodiversity protection projects.
