The tree grows very vigorously, reaches significant dimensions, and forms a powerful crown. The variety is characterized by high vitality and longevity, however, it enters the fruiting period late. Yield can be very high.

Fruits are medium-sized, conical in shape, tapering toward the stalk. The skin changes from green to light whitish-yellow; a large, deep brown 'rusty' cap is characteristic. The flesh is whitish, juicy, sweetish, and semi-melting. Harvesting begins in September.

Traditionally, the variety is used as a culinary pear for making jam, juices, pear cheese, and as an additive in confectionery products.
