The variety belongs to traditional local cultivars. The tree is characterized by rapid growth, is vigorous, and forms a tall, wide crown. Flowering is mid-late; fruits reach consumer maturity in the period from late September to October.

The plant is moderately susceptible to scab. In a historical context, the fruits of this variety were used as industrial raw material, in particular for the production of pear concentrate.

The main distribution area of the variety is the Rhein-Sieg district in Germany. Currently, the variety is preserved as part of cultural and genetic heritage.
