The variety is a regional genetic resource originating from the Lepini Mountains in the Italian provinces of Latina and Frosinone. The plant belongs to the category of traditional landrace cultivars, the conservation of which is supported by local biodiversity protection organizations.

The fruits are small in size, with white, juicy, slightly granular flesh and a delicate sweet-and-sour taste. The appearance is characterized by a yellow-green ground skin color with a red blush. The primary purpose of the harvest is local consumption and use in processing, for example, for the preparation of preserves.
