The variety was obtained by complex interspecific hybridization involving Pyrus serotina species. The tree forms a large number of short fruit-bearing shoots (spurs) and demonstrates active vegetative growth on various rootstocks, including quince.

The fruits are characterized by their sugar content and balanced flavor; during the ripening period, the skin has a dark color. The yield of the variety when grown on quince rootstock reaches 27–28 tons per hectare, which makes it promising for industrial orchards.
