The variety is a spontaneous bud mutation of the Williams variety. The trees are characterized by medium vigor and good winter hardiness; the fruits are securely attached to the branches and are not prone to premature shedding. The harvest period falls between the end of August and the first half of September.
The fruits have a regular pear-like shape and a mass of 180–220 g. The skin is red, with burgundy pigmentation and a longitudinal stripe, sometimes with slight russeting. The flesh is creamy white, juicy, and possesses a characteristic muscat flavor and aroma. The storage life of the fruits under normal conditions is up to two weeks.
