The Sensation variety, known as Red Sensation Bartlett, is a natural mutation of the Williams variety. The tree is characterized by a narrow, compact crown; young shoots and foliage may have a reddish tint. The fruits with bright red skin ripen in August and are identical in taste to the Williams variety. The plant is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties.

The Sweet Sensation variety, known as De Rode Van Doorn, is a natural mutation of the Comice variety. The fruits are round-conical in shape with a red blush on 40–70% of the surface, have juicy white flesh, and ripen from the end of September. The variety possesses winter hardiness down to -27 °C and high disease resistance.
