CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety is a summer type; the fruits ripen in the second half of August gradually over two weeks. The fruits are of medium or large size, from 70 to 160 g, have a typical pear-like, often asymmetrical shape and a greenish-yellow color, sometimes with a light blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, very juicy and melting, with a low to medium content of stone cells; the taste is sweet and sour.
The tree is vigorous, with a sparse, broad-pyramidal crown and branches extending at a good angle. It begins fruiting in the 5–6th year after planting; winter hardiness is assessed as satisfactory.
The fruits have a very short consumption period and are not suitable for long-term storage due to their tendency to overripen quickly, during which they can turn brown inside while still on the tree.
