The vegetation period is from 65 to 75 days. The roots have a round or oblate-round shape, rough black or dark brown skin, and succulent white flesh with a distinct pungent taste. The plant forms a vigorous leaf apparatus in the form of a semi-erect or spreading rosette.
The variety is valued for excellent keeping quality when stored in sand or cool premises. In dense plantings, the plants are prone to bolting and lignification of the roots. To obtain a harvest, sowing in the summer period is recommended with a distance of 15–20 cm between plants.
