The variety belongs to the Indian azalea group and is actively used in breeding practice as an object for comparison with new forms when evaluating foliage characteristics and branching density. It is the progenitor of other varieties, obtained including through artificial mutations.
Morphologically, the variety differs from modern breeding forms by less intense foliage gloss and a less pronounced branching ability. Detailed agronomic indicators, such as plant height, maturity dates, and disease resistance, are not presented in open sources.
