The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Rhododendron «Hachmann´s Belona» and Rhododendron «Admiral Vanessa». It is an evergreen ornamental shrub with a compact growth habit that reaches a height of about 1.3 m and a width of up to 1.5 m after 10 years.
Large flowers with a diameter of about 8 cm are gathered in spherical inflorescences. The petal color is purple-pink with a dark red blotch and a yellow center. The flowering period begins in the second half of May; the flowers themselves possess high durability.
The variety prefers partial shade and is characterized by reliable winter hardiness down to -24°C, making it suitable for ornamental gardening and landscaping.
