The variety is a deciduous shrub which, after 10 years, reaches a height of about 150 cm and a width of about 120 cm. The leaves are lanceolate-elliptical, green, pubescent, up to 145 mm long and about 35 mm wide.
The flowers are broad, funnel-shaped, about 80 mm in diameter, and consist of five slightly wavy petals. The inflorescences are cone-shaped and include 9–11 flowers. The color of the stamens, filaments, and pistil is cream, and the calyx is green.
The flowering period occurs from late May to early June. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, withstanding frosts down to -35 °C. Used in ornamental gardening.
