The variety is a dense, spreading shrub reaching a height of about 1.25 m by ten years of age. Leaves are dark green, glossy, elliptical in shape, 2 to 5 cm long, and retain their decorative appearance during the winter period.
Flowers are funnel-shaped, semi-double, colored pink with a white border; purple speckles may be present on the upper petals. The variety is late-flowering, with the flowering period occurring in late May – June.
The plant possesses good tolerance to heat and drought. Frost resistance is estimated in the range of -10 °C to -18 °C; it may require covering during the winter period.
