The variety was created based on genetic material from the northern regions of Sweden, Russia, and Canada. It is characterized by high resistance to fungal diseases and a consistently large berry size, exceeding the standard variety Öjebyn in a number of indicators.

The plant is suitable both for commercial cultivation in plantations and for amateur gardening, being of interest to the processing industry and the fresh produce market. The variety often serves as an object of scientific research and a parental form for new hybrids.
