The variety forms a vigorous semi-spreading bush, prone to rapid thickening. Berries of medium size weighing 0.8–1.1 g are round in shape, black in color, and have a glossy sheen. The flavor of the fruit is sweet and sour, with characteristic muscat notes; the skin is described as thin but firm.

The plant possesses high winter hardiness and adaptability to unfavorable weather conditions. The variety is often used in breeding as a parental form. The fruits have a versatile purpose, suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and various types of processing.

Scientific literature notes the variety's susceptibility to blackcurrant bud mite infestation. The variety is widely distributed in Northern Europe and was also selected from the VIR collection (N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources) for zoning in the Northwestern region of Russia.
