Variety description

10 August 2026

The Ometa bush has vigorous growth, an upright and wide shape, reaching a height of 1.5–1.7 m with a width of 1.0–1.2 m. The fruits are black, glossy, collected in medium or large clusters on long stalks, which simplifies the harvesting process.

The variety is mid-early or mid-season in terms of ripening. The plant is self-fertile, possesses winter hardiness down to -23°C and high resistance to powdery mildew, as well as relative resistance to leaf spot, columnar rust, and big bud mite.

The yield of the variety is 2–3 kg per bush; the berries separate easily from the stalk. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and various types of industrial processing, including the preparation of juices, nectars, jellies, and jams.
