The variety was obtained by crossing Salix 'Astrid' and Salix viminalis L. The plant is characterized by a large number of shoots per rootstock, making it suitable for creating shelterbelts and screening plantings.
The variety demonstrates moderate biomass yield. It is effective in mixed plantings, as it possesses a genetic basis that helps contain the spread of diseases. The variety tolerates dry sites better and is not susceptible to mite infestation.
