The variety is intended for cultivation in short-rotation energy plantations for the production of biomass used in energy generation. The plant shows high biomass yield, comparable to foreign counterparts.

The variety possesses good adaptation to local environmental conditions compared to introduced varieties. Reduced plant susceptibility to leaf rust has been noted.
