The variety is intended for cultivation within short-rotation forestry for the purpose of obtaining raw materials for biofuel and biogas production.
In the scientific community, this variety is used as starting material in breeding work, in particular for creating experimental autotetraploid forms to study the effect of polyploidy on biomass productivity and wood chemical composition.
