The plant has a compact, rounded bush habit, reaching a height of 45 to 75 cm. The foliage is dark green. From late spring throughout the summer, slender raceme inflorescences are formed, consisting of small blue-violet flowers with reddish-purple bracts.
The variety is intended for planting in flower beds, borders, and containers. It is characterized by good winter hardiness (USDA zones 4–9) and resistance to heat, drought, and deer damage. Deadheading spent inflorescences promotes reblooming.
