Variety description

The plant forms a strong bush 30–50 cm in height and 35–50 cm in width. Leaves are oblong, fleshy, medium-green with a glaucous bloom. Stems are sturdy, with a greenish or pinkish tinge.
Inflorescences are dense heads up to 11 cm in diameter. Buds change color from gray-green to whitish upon opening; flowers are colored in a deep pink-burgundy shade, darkening over time to reddish-brown.
The variety is drought-tolerant, belongs to USDA hardiness zones 4–9, and is resistant to lodging. With excessive moisture, root rots are possible; under good drainage conditions, it is resistant to diseases.
Used in flower beds, borders, rock gardens, container gardening, and for cut flowers. Attracts pollinating insects.
