The plant forms a bush with sturdy stems that often have a reddish tint. Leaves are large, dense, oval or oblong in shape, colored in glaucous-green.

Flowering occurs from late summer to autumn. The variety is drought-tolerant and undemanding, used in floriculture for designing mixed borders, borders, single or group plantings, and also for cut flowers.
