The variety has rather bumpy, round-oval shaped tubers. The tuber skin is dark blue, and the flesh has a bright yellow hue. In terms of culinary properties, the variety is classified as mealy.
The plant is an old landrace mentioned in the materials of the Swedish Seed Association since 1924. Currently, the variety is maintained in the collection of the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen) as an object of cultural heritage.
