The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties «Blaue Schweden» and «Prättigauer». The plant is of medium height with dark foliage and white flowers, characterized by slow development in the initial stage of growth. The tubers are long-oval in shape with dark blue skin, blue-violet flesh, and medium-depth eyes.
The variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group. It possesses high resistance to late blight and blackleg, medium to high resistance to common scab, and medium resistance to Y-virus. Yield is medium with a high number of tubers per plant.
Culinary type is predominantly firm. The tubers possess good keeping quality. Pre-planting warming and sprouting are recommended, as the variety has late sprouting.
