The variety belongs to industrial types and is used primarily in the starch industry, although it can be used in cooking as a floury type (type C), suitable for mashed potatoes and baking. Tubers have smooth yellow skin, shallow eyes, and light yellow flesh.
The plant has high resistance to potato virus Y, potato leafroll virus, and late blight of leaves. The variety is also resistant to potato wart (pathotype 1) and potato cyst nematode (Ro1). Due to the high dry matter content, the variety is moderately resistant to mechanical damage and requires careful harvesting.
