The variety was obtained by crossing Doré and Dr. McIntosh. The tubers have shallow eyes, and the skin can be yellow or brownish and rough. The variety is suitable for cultivation on clay and sandy soils and is characterized by storability until autumn.
The plant possesses high resistance to tuber late blight, blackleg, viruses M and Y, potato wart, and drought. Culinary properties vary in descriptions from moderately mealy to predominantly firm.
