The variety was bred by crossing the variety «Нагорода» with a derivative of a wild form from Peru. Tubers are round-oval in shape, smooth, with shiny purple skin and deep purple flesh.
The period from emergence to technical maturity is about 85 days. Starch content in the tubers is in the range of 17–18%. The flesh texture is moderately firm, weakly boiling.
The variety possesses high adaptability and drought tolerance. It is characterized as moderately resistant to late blight and viral diseases. Yield varies from 30 to 50 t/ha depending on growing conditions.
