Variety description

The growing period of the variety is 70–80 days, with the first harvest possible 38–40 days after emergence. Marketable tuber yield reaches 210 c/ha on the 40th day and up to 460 c/ha by the end of the growing season. The average weight of one tuber varies from 116 to 140 g.

The tubers have smooth pink skin and shallow eyes. The starch content is in the range of 10–14.5%. The variety is characterized by good keeping quality during storage (about 93%).

Tyras possesses resistance to potato wart, high resistance to common scab and tuber rust, as well as relative resistance to stem nematode. The variety shows moderate resistance to late blight of foliage and tubers. It is known for its drought tolerance and is suitable for double-crop cultivation.
