The plant forms dense clumps 15–30 cm in height and diameter. Basal leaves are deeply lobed, olive-colored with a distinct dark red or black pattern along the central vein.

Flowering occurs from mid-spring to early summer. Brush-shaped inflorescences consist of small star-shaped flowers that bloom from soft pink buds, taking on a creamy-white or light pink hue.

The variety is intended for cultivation in shady and semi-shady locations, suitable for borders, rock gardens, and containers. The plant is hardy, however, it may be damaged by slugs, weevils, or affected by powdery mildew.
