Variety description

The plant forms a leaf rosette up to 10 cm in height, flower stalks reach 15 cm, and it spreads up to 60–90 cm in width. Leaves are semi-evergreen, deeply dissected. Flowering occurs from April to June, with the possibility of recurrent raceme inflorescences.

The variety prefers moist, well-drained soils and shady or semi-shady areas. It may be damaged by slugs and weevils, and under unfavorable conditions, it is susceptible to powdery mildew. It is used for planting in rock gardens, woodland gardens, containers, and as a groundcover plant.
