Variety description

The plant forms a compact, non-spreading clump. Foliage height is about 25 cm, peduncles reach 45 cm. Overall plant dimensions vary from 0.5 to 1.5 feet in height and 1–1.5 feet in width.

Leaves 3.5–4 inches wide have a deeply lobed shape and a characteristic dark burgundy center along the main veins, changing to a bronze-red hue in autumn. Pale pink bell-shaped flowers are gathered in dense raceme inflorescences, which fade to white with age.

The flowering period occurs in April-May. The variety prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils and is suitable for shady areas, rock gardens, and containers. The plant belongs to hardiness zones 4–9 and can be susceptible to powdery mildew, weevils, and slugs.
