The plant forms a bush 20–30 cm tall (up to 40 cm with flower stalks) and 45–55 cm wide. The variety does not form aggressively spreading stolons. In spring, the leaves have a vivid coloration, and small white or pale pink flowers are gathered in fluffy inflorescences.

The variety belongs to USDA hardiness zones 4–9 and performs as an evergreen in mild climates. It prefers partial shade or full shade and rich, moist, but well-drained soils. Used in landscape design as a ground cover plant, for borders, or for container cultivation.
