The leaves of the variety have an elongated, deeply dissected shape with a long narrow central lobe. The color is mint-green with a chocolate-brown or black pattern along the veins; in winter, the foliage acquires a bronze tint. The plant forms compact clumps up to 20 cm in height; with flower stalks, the total height reaches 38 cm.

Flowering occurs in early spring; small flowers with a pink or toffee tint are gathered in raceme inflorescences. The foliage is semi-evergreen. The variety is suitable for cultivation in partial or full shade on moist, well-drained soils. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 4–9, the plant is deer resistant.
