The variety is a winter type and differs from traditional tall spelt varieties by a shorter stem height, which ensures high lodging resistance. The variety was obtained by crossing spelt with semi-dwarf common wheat varieties while maintaining the grain hulling typical for spelt.
The plant possesses high grain yield and good thousand kernel weight indices. The variety exhibits high tolerance to moisture deficiency and is often used as a reference sample when studying the baking properties and chemical composition of spelt grain.
