Variety description

10 August 2026

The grain of the variety possesses a vitreous texture, typical for spelt crops. The variety demonstrated higher yield in comparison with traditional Swiss varieties, such as Oberkulmer Rotkorn and Ostro, during the period of active introduction in the 1990s.

In studies of nutrient composition, the content of soluble dietary fiber in the variety was estimated at the level of 1.2% in terms of dry matter. At present, the variety is used primarily in scientific research on genetic diversity and quality characteristics of spelt.
