The Russian spring soft wheat variety "Эстер" belongs to the mid-season maturity group with a growing season of 80–100 days. Plant height varies from 80 to 125 cm. The variety is characterized by resistance to lodging, drought, powdery mildew, and leaf rust, as well as low susceptibility to loose smut and common bunt.
The grain of the "Эстер" variety is classified as valuable in quality. Gluten content indices are 30–50%, flour strength is in the range of 300–450 e.a., and the falling number is 360–450 seconds. The variety is intended for use in the baking industry.
