The variety was obtained by crossing lines EC351366 and Toronto. The plant has a strong stem, the straw is characterized as short or very short, with a very weak or weak tendency to lodging.

The variety belongs to a group with medium maturity. Winter hardiness indicators vary from a lack of data in a number of publications to the classification of the variety as having high or very high winter hardiness in other sources.

The plant has high resistance to diseases: low susceptibility to leaf rust, powdery mildew and leaf spot, very weak susceptibility to yellow rust. The degree of Fusarium head blight infection is estimated as medium.
