The variety is intended for the production of semolina and high-quality pasta. In the course of breeding research, Boabdil was noted as a variety with a pronounced positive effect on grain gluten strength indicators.

In comparative trials of durum wheat genotypes, the variety proved to be one of the most stable in terms of yield parameters and thousand kernel weight under various growing conditions.
