The variety is a winter crop and belongs to hulled wheats; during harvest, the grain remains surrounded by glumes. A morphological feature of the plant is the presence of characteristic black glumes.
Monomax possesses higher tillering energy compared to many analogues and demonstrates improved lodging resistance. The yield potential of the variety is higher than that of many other einkorn representatives, while it shows above-average results in milling tests.
