The variety was bred at the University of Hohenheim with the aim of improving the economically useful traits of the crop. The main focuses of the breeding program for this variety are increasing resistance to lodging and improving plant development during the initial stages of vegetation.
The yield of the variety is comparable to or slightly lower than that of other modern Triticum monococcum lines, with an average yield potential for the crop of 40–50 c/ha. The grain is characterized by a high protein content, however, the technological properties of the dough require special adaptation during baking.
