The variety is a forage crop intended for the production of green mass, hay, haylage, or silage. It is also used as a component of grass mixtures and catch crops to improve soil fertility.
Research revealed a high crude protein content, which was 18.73% at the beginning of the flowering phase. A biological feature of the species is its lodging stems.
