The plant has creeping or climbing stems that reach a length of 1.2–2 meters when supported. It has pinnate leaves with tendrils and forms inflorescences with violet-purple flowers.

The variety is used in crop rotations as green manure for weed suppression and in forage production for haylage harvesting. In scientific research, the variety is considered as an object for analysis of nutrient composition, amino acids, and riboflavin content.
