The mid-season ripening variety is characterized by moderate vigor and semi-erect shoots. The clusters are small, often having a characteristic fork-like shape with a large wing. The very large, broad-ellipsoid berries are covered with bloom and are prone to shattering when fully ripe.
The plant is susceptible to powdery mildew and grey mold, which complicates its cultivation. Wines from this variety are distinguished by moderate sugar and acidity, weak coloration, and low alcohol content. Currently, the variety has almost disappeared from widespread production, occupying less than one hectare of land in France.
