The variety is native to the island of Corsica and belongs to the species Vitis vinifera L. It is a vigorous plant with semi-erect shoots. The leaves are small, round or wedge-shaped, with three to five lobes, a moderate degree of dissection, and slight pubescence on the underside.

Bunches are medium-sized, conical, and dense, which often causes the berries to become deformed. The berries are medium-sized, round or slightly flattened, golden-white in color, and covered with a waxy bloom. The skin is moderately thick, the pulp is juicy, and the flavor is neutral.

The grape has an early ripening period and is characterized by high yield. The variety is not resistant to frost or fungal diseases. It is used in winemaking to add brightness and intense acidity to wines, and is often used in blends.
