The variety originates from the Balagne region of Corsica. The vine is vigorous, with perfect flowers. Leaves are small, round or wedge-shaped, medium or deeply dissected, with three or five lobes.

Clusters are medium-sized, conical in shape, compact or very compact. Berries are medium-sized, round or slightly flattened, golden-white in color with moderately thick skin. The variety is susceptible to fungal diseases and frost.

Wine from this variety has a light yellow color with greenish highlights, high titratable acidity, and an expressive aroma with notes of citrus and exotic fruits. It is often used in blends to add brightness and structure to wines.
