Variety description

The variety is the result of a natural cross between Syrah and Peloursin. The vine is characterized by vigorous growth and semi-erect or horizontal shoots. The leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed, deeply dissected, with pubescence on the underside.

The clusters are medium-sized, often dense, and conical or cylindrical-conical in shape. The berries are medium-sized, round, dark blue in color, covered with intense bloom, and have thick skins.

The variety has low winter hardiness, withstanding down to -20...-22°C. Disease resistance is moderate; however, due to the density of the clusters, the variety is susceptible to grey rot and black rot, which requires special monitoring during the ripening period to prevent berry cracking.
